At Camp Y-Owasco, we do everything with safety as our top priority.  Licensed by the NYS Department of Health and accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), we demonstrate a proven safety track record.  Our lifeguards are certified by either the YMCA of the USA or the American Red Cross. ALL of our counseling staff are certified in CPR and First Aid, including several with advanced first aid certifications. There is a licensed nurse on site at all times.  Our campers and staff follow what's known as the "3-person rule" so that no camper is ever alone, or even with just one other person. Our counselors are trained to protect your child's emotional safety, too.  ACA accreditation requires us to scrutinize every aspect of camp operation based on up to 300 standards for evaluation by the American Camp Association, ensuring safe facilities and practices, quality staff, and excellent programming.  Click here to learn more about ACA accrediation.   If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the camp director!
