Kanga (Melissa Cartner) - Leadership Director

Hi!  My name is Kanga, but outside of camp they call me Melissa.  I have lived in Auburn, NY my whole life. In 2010, I graduated from Cayuga Community College with an Associates in liberal arts with a concentration in psychology, and I now attend Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY on Long Island, where I will be majoring in psychology.  For fun, like to hang out with my friends and be goofy.  I started working at camp as a counselor in 2009, and I am more excited than ever to be one of the two Leadership Directors this summer!  With my co-counselor, Dorsal, I have the privilege and opportunity to work with the Leaders-In-Training and Counselors-In-Training, and I am really looking forward to helping them push their comfort zone and experience what it's like to be a leader.  I love teenagers and kids and enjoy teaching them at camp.  I have a feeling this is going to be a great summer and I can't wait to get the season started!
