Tink (Emily Bartran) - Cabin Counselor
My name is Emily Bartran. I am 19 years old and I will be entering my sophomore year at the University of Vermont in the fall. I am working on a double major in Sociology and English, with the hopes of joining the Peace Corps after graduation and then coming home and going to law school. In high school, I was a member of Character Education and Students Against Destructive Decisions, where I was active in helping keep people informed about how to make the right decisions. I have received the Christian Leadership Award as well as multiple letters for varsity field hockey. My hometown is just a few miles down the lake in Auburn, and I have spent all of my summers since I was six at Camp Y-Owasco. I wanted to become a counselor so that I would have the opportunity to have as much of a positive influence on the campers as my counselors had on me, and give them a summer they will never forget. I look forward to getting to know the girls in my tribe, and watching them experience the magic of camp. My goal in life is to make the world a better place, little by little, and what better place to start than instilling good values and ideas into the boys and girls here at camp?
