Yahtzee! (Sean Yates) - Cabin Counselor

Hi, I am Sean Yates, 20 years old, from Auburn, New York. I attend Cayuga Community College and am working toward a degree in elementary education. Since I hope to become a teacher, camp is a great preparation for my future. I hope to learn as much from the campers as they do from me. I love sports: I played on the Skaneateles and Auburn lacrosse teams in high school and the golf team in college. In summer I enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and jet skiing on Owasco Lake. An avid football fan, I have always been a Green Bay Packer fan; Aaron Rogers best embodies the values of responsibility, integrity and character that the YMCA represents.  My favorite quote is, "Children need models rather than critics" (J.J. Peeves), and I hope to follow this motto this summer at Camp Y-Owasco!
