Adventure knows no season!
Camp isn't just for the summer, and that's why we created Camp Y-Owasco Winter Camp at the Auburn YMCA!
We may not be able to have camp at Camp Y-Owasco in the winter, but that doesn't mean we can't have camp! Winter Camp is a chance to experience many of the things that make camp so great just when you miss camp the most - in the middle of winter!
Adventure Every Day...
...Even in the Winter!
Winter Camp is a sleepover experience at the Auburn YMCA that will include camp-style activities and games with the same spirit for adventure that we experience every day in the summer! We will be both inside AND outside, weather permitting, so be prepared to dress in layers! Five meals are included as a part of the Winter Camp experience.
Just like at summer camp, Winter Camp is only limited by our imaginations! (Well--and potentially the weather!)
Winter Camp Olympics
New Year's Eve Party
Pajama Fashion Show
Arts and Crafts
Swimming (in the pools!)
Swim and a movie (at the same time!)
Snowman Building (weather permitting)
AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!
We can't promise snow, but you can count on a day and a half jam-packed with activities and opportunities to reconnect with friends from summer camp at
Just like at summer camp at Camp Y-Owasco, campers will be placed into "tribes" of 6-12 campers which will be supervised by 1 or 2 counselors. These tribes will do some activities together throughout their time at Winter Camp and will sleep in the same area. Winter Camp may also include teams and will include opportunities for campers to meet and spend time with everyone in the program, so just because your camper isn't in the same tribe as his/her brother, sister, or best friend, it doesn't mean they won't get to have fun with them. There are plenty of chances to have fun with everyone and make some new friends along the way!
