Camp isn't just for the summer! 
Camp isn't just for the summer, and that's why we created Camp Y-Owasco Winter Camp at the Auburn YMCA! 
We may not be able to have camp at Camp Y-Owasco in the winter, but that doesn't mean we can't have camp!  Winter Camp is a chance to experience many of the things that make camp so great just when you miss camp the most - in the middle of winter! 
Adventure Every Day...
...Even in the Winter!
Winter Camp is a sleepover experience at the Auburn YMCA that will include camp-style activities and games with the same spirit for adventure that we experience every day in the summer!  We will be both inside AND outside, weather permitting, so be prepared to dress in layers!  Three meals are included as a part of the Winter Camp experience.

Just like at summer camp, Winter Camp is only limited by our imaginations!  (Well--and potentially the weather!)  Here's a list of things we MIGHT do - but no guarantees!  If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Camp Director!

We can't promise snow, but you can count on a day and a half jam-packed with activities and opportunities to reconnect with friends from summer camp at

Winter Camp runs from 1:00pm Thursday, December 29th to
5:00pm Friday, December 30th.

- Register in person at the Auburn or Skaneateles YMCAs.

- Click the icon below to download our brochure. Fill it out entirely and mail or hand it in to the Auburn or Skaneateles YMCA with payment enclosed.  (27 William Street / Auburn, NY 13021)  (The Winter Camp Brochure is formatted for legal-sized paper [8 and a half by 14])






- Call the Auburn YMCA to have a brochure mailed to you.  315-253-5304.

- Financial Aid is available for those who qualify.  CLICK HERE to download the Winter Camp Scholarship form. 


Winter Camp registration opens October 10, 2011! 
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in for Winter Camp begins at 1:00 on Thursday, December 29th.  Come to the lobby of the Auburn YMCA and signs will direct you to the location of check-in.  Check-out will begin at 4:00pm on December 30th. 

Camper Groups
Just like at summer camp at Camp Y-Owasco, campers will be placed into "tribes" of 6-12 campers which will be supervised by 1 or 2 counselors.  These tribes will do some activities together throughout their time at Winter Camp and will sleep in the same area.  Winter Camp may also include teams and will include opportunities for campers to meet and spend time with everyone in the program, so just because your camper isn't in the same tribe as his/her brother, sister, or best friend, it doesn't mean they won't get to have fun with them.  There's plenty of chances to have fun with everyone and make some new friends along the way!
